Odyssey offers a variety of small group tours exploring Asia and the Orient, all with the opportunity to see some of Asia’s most important sites as well as some hidden gems. Visit China, the world’s most populated country, and learn about the stunning tapestry of local cultures that binds these people together as well as a history that dates back to prehistoric times. Travel to the magnificent landscapes of Mongolia and discover its nomadic culture and meet traditional herders.

Our small group tours are especially for mature aged travellers couples and singles and typically take no more than 16 people. Most tours run for around 21 days and all are fully escorted by both a local guide and Odyssey Program Leader.

You can trek through Bhutan and Nepal in the majestic Himalayas and traverse your way through the ancient Silk Road. Take the road less travelled and discover the ‘Stans’ – Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. Visit Japan and marvel at its bustling cities and striking rural villages. In the southeast, you can explore Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos as well as the newly emerged Myanmar. In the subcontinent, India, there is a no shortage of vibrant places to visit and heritage sites to explore, or head down to Sri Lanka and relax on its endless beaches. Along the way you can indulge in exquisitely flavourful food, from rich, creamy curries, to steaming bowls of noodles, baskets of juicy dumplings or rice paper rolls stuffed with fresh herbs. There is something for everyone on this continent and you are guaranteed to have the trip of a lifetime, no matter where you decide to go first.
