Edinburgh Fringe Festival

This small group tour explores the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the world’s largest arts festival. This extraordinary festival encompasses almost an entire month’s worth of theatre, cabaret, children’s shows, experimental performance art, circus, comedy, and dance. Every year, it showcases a range of new and established artists from across Europe. It famously emphasises experimentation, outsider performers, and new approaches to old forms. On this educational tour, we experience nine days of the Fringe, taking in a wide range of shows.

The particular performances we see will vary depending on what is on, but there will be a diverse selection of ticketed shows. We also have the chance to explore the vibrant street theatre that happens throughout the city. And we explore the magical city of Edinburgh, with walking tours of the city and numerous sightseeing opportunities. You will experience the extraordinary Festival atmosphere, and sample a wide range of its artistic offerings.

Other highlights include the chance to try local Scottish food, as well as whiskey tastings at a charming city bar. We also get a feel for the vibrant, cosmopolitan city of Edinburgh, and the quirkiness of the famous Edinburgh Fringe. Of course, the main highlights of this tour are the festival performances, street theatre, cabaret shows, and nightlife we will enjoy.
